David Sonnekalb, D.V.M.


Dr. Sonnekalb grew up in Guilderland and graduated from Guilderland High School in 2000. Following high school, he attended the University of New Hampshire and received his Bachelor’s degree in 2004. He then graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

He and his wife have a daughter, Adelaide Grace, and a son, Elijah. They also share their home with a dog, Darby, and a cat, Seamus. In his spare time, Dr. Sonnekalb enjoys fishing, golfing, biking, and reading.

Dr. Sonnekalb especially enjoys working with dogs and cats here at Sand Creek Animal Hospital and he also enjoys doing oral and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Sonnekalb is also a USDA Accredited Veterinarian and can issue International Health Certificates.
