What is Credelio Quattro?

Credelio Quattro is a monthly flea / tick / heartworm preventative that consists of lotilaner, moxidectin, praziquantel and pyrantel.

How is Credelio Quattro given?

Credelio Quatro is given by mouth in the form of a chewable tablet. It is best absorbed when administered with food.  If vomiting occurs within one hour of administration, readminister a new dose.

What if I miss giving my pet the medication?

If you miss a dose, give a new dose immediately and resume a monthly dosing schedule from the new date.

Are there any potential side effects?

Side effects can include vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, low appetite, dermatitis, weight loss, pruritus, hair loss, seizure, ataxia, nystagmus, anisocoria.

Are there any risk factors for this medication?

Credelio Quattro should be used with caution in dogs with a history of seizures or neurologic disorders.  All dogs should be tested for heartworm prior to administration.  The safe use of Credelio Quattro in breeding, pregnant or lactating dogs has not been evaluated.

Are there any drug interactions I should be aware of?

Is there any monitoring that needs to be done with this medication?

Annual heartworm testing should be completed while taking this preventative.

How do I store Credelio quattro?

Credelio Quattro should be stored at 15-25 °C (59-77°F).

What should I do in case of emergency?

If you suspect an overdose or an adverse reaction to the medication, call your veterinary office immediately. If they are not available, follow their directions in contacting an emergency facility.
